I cherish our interactions and the lifelong relationships we build. Hearing about your family and the legacy memories you create is truly rewarding. Celebrating your accomplished financial goals and teaching the importance of "paying it forward" are key aspects of my work. I encourage you to have a generous heart towards others, including friends, family, and non-profits.

I am deeply passionate about educating and empowering you to make informed financial decisions. My own journey in financial education began after my wife and I got married in the '90s. We had the privilege of working with a Waddell & Reed advisor who challenged us to rethink our priorities and took the time to educate us on what was needed to get on track. This experience profoundly impacted me, and I am motivated to provide you with the same level of guidance and support as you navigate the often-confusing financial landscape.

I grew up in the small town of Eldorado, Kansas, where life was a mix of tornados, BBQs, lake fishing, family gatherings, and fish fries. My parents divorced when I was 10, giving me the perspective of a single mother working hard to provide for her two sons. This taught me that hard work can help you accomplish anything. In my family, we have a saying: "The harder you work, the luckier you get!”

I've been married to Mindy for over 30 years, which means I've mastered the art of saying "Yes, dear." We have a son, Caleb, who is married, and a daughter, Grace, who is in high school and keeps us on our toes. I love spending time with my family, whether it's individually or as a group—especially when it involves playing guitar, roasting my own coffee (because store-bought just won't do), watching movies, or enjoying good food with great company. I'm passionate about helping you and our community, and promoting healthy marriages. I support organizations like Scarlet Road, Family Lines, Family Life, and Paraclete, which align with these values. And yes, I do all this while trying not to burn the coffee beans!
